Hello!!

Hi,

Welcome to my blog. I'm going to use this as my online journal of how I am coping with being laid off from the factory.

My bills are starting to pile up, and my benefits havent even come in yet. I know a lot of people in America are facing similar problems to me nowadays, so I hope maybe I will find other people, and we could help each other get through this together.

Thanks!

  1. Hi Peter. I just noticed the comment you left on my last post on my blog (theunemployedblog.wordpress.com).

Just to let you know, I'm not updating that blog anymore. The thing is, I found a job, so the old blog was a little unsuitable for me. I say this not to brag, but to advise you to remain positive while unemployed. During my year-long break from working, I found blogging to be hugely beneficial. Not so much finacially (as I didn't fully seek out ways to earn money from blogging), but for maintaining my good spirit. I also made many good friends and gained access to certain networks through my blog.

I'm sorry that you lost your job, but you seem to have a lot of experience to work with. There's no reason to be negative right now. Stay positive, and keep blogging. I'm certain it will help. If you are open to advice on recession blogging, I suggest you keep your posts upbeat. I know this might be difficult right now, but readers are attracted to positive blogs. I did complain in my posts, quite a lot in fact, but negative posts were always directed at specific targets rather than general complaints about being unemployed (these kind of posts can also be a lot of fun to read and to write).

I'll add your blog to my blogroll. Please do keep it up. I like what I've read so far.
